This well known Commercial Construction Company, integrates product solutions with specialty contracting services to improve, protect, and enhance the existing infrastructure in partnership with owners, designers and contractors. The company offers a wide range of specialty repair and upgrade products in conjunction with the largest concrete repair contractor in the United States.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Development professional to develop new relationships throughout the New York City metro area. As a Business Development Manager, you will be accountable for bringing the products and services of the group to the NYC metro commercial market. The position will focus on concrete strengthening upgrade, concrete repair, historic restoration, building envelope and facade repair and waterproofing projects. You will be heavily focused on calling on Engineers that specialize in repair or restoration work in NYC. As a Business Development professional, you will also collaborate with our Operations teams to tackle the toughest construction applications and meet the needs of our valued customers.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for:
Developing, maintaining, and expanding business relationships with Engineers specializing in repair or restoration work in New York City
Strategically calling on property managers and owners to understand who the key Engineers are with those customers
Participating in sales meetings, sales calls, seminar facilitation, trade shows, and the development of other sales strategies and initiatives
Proactively managing accounts and expanding the Company's business relationship with them
Meeting or exceeding annual sales goals set forth by management
Creating, presenting, or responding to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions
Successful candidates must meet the following criteria to be considered for this strategic sales position:
10+ years of business development / sales experience building relationships and expanding a client base in the commercial market (preferably selling specialty products and services)
Strong knowledge of the New York City market including a heavy focus on calling on Engineers
Track record of success in meeting and exceeding sales goals/quotas
Experience working in a team-selling environment
Solid understanding of sales process with the ability to explain that process from identification of opportunity through close of sale
Candidates who possess a Bachelors Degree may be given preference
Candidates with customer relationship management (CRM) software may be given preference
Position territory and regular travel area includes the greater NYC metro area, including portions of Northern New Jersey, Southern Connecticut and Eastern Pennsylvania.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
